Full name of Instrument & Measure (native language):
2007. évi LXXXVI. törvény a villamos energiáról
Description:
One of the Act's priorities is to promote the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources and waste. Electricity generated from renewable energy sources is promoted through feed-in tariffs if a guarantee of origin is provided. The eligibility period and the maximum amount of eligible electricity are set out in implementing decrees (§ 11 (3) Act No. LXXXVI of 2007). The feed-in tariffs are fixed and depend on the time of day (peak time, mid-peak time, off-peak time). These time periods are defined by law, depend on the area the electricity is generated in and vary for weekdays and weekends/holidays as well as for summer and winter time. Decree No. 309/2013 prescribes the procedure for issuing guarantees of origing. Decree 389/2007 establishes a framework for the dispatch of and payment for electricity generated from RES and waste.
