Description: 
This regulation aims to ensure supply of drinking water in satisfactory quantity and of satisfactory quality, including ensuring that drinking water does not contain harmful contamination of any kind and is otherwise considered safe.
Goal/Aim: 
Regulate quality and quantity of drinking water.
Responsible Authority: 
The local FSA supervises and makes decisions under the Food Act to implement the provisions laid down in and pursuant to these regulations in accordance with the Food Act § 23 on supervision and resolution and can issue decisions under § 24 on special eradication of infection, § 25 of the closing and quarantining and § 26 on fines. The municipality supervises and makes decisions by public health law to implement the provisions laid down in pursuance of this regulation in accordance with Public Health Law § 8, § 9, § 14, § 15 and § 16.
