Regional governments developed a set of criteria and a purchase model for procurement of biobased products. These criteria will help to select the best biobased products available and stimulate development of new biobased products. Regional governments has already set up some pilot procurements for clothing, hardware and infrastructure (building and road). The Province of Zeeland stimulates other government bodies to use the criteria and the purchase model for biobased procurement. The actual aim is to create a market pull for biobased products. Biobased economy is an important economic priority of the provincial government. By setting up this project, the Province of Zeeland "practices what they preach" The criteria are: 1.
