Factsheet: The Forest Resources Management Act

The Forest Resources Management Act and the Forest Resources Management Regulations (regulations) provide a legal framework for committing the government and forest users to undertake the essential components of sustainable forest management -- planning, monitoring, reporting, adapting -- while maintaining a focus on results. This means that the framework ensures forest health is protected, while remaining flexible enough to be successfully applied to the great variety of forest ecosystems in Saskatchewan.
