Description: 
Law No. 12546/2011 establishes the Special Regime of Reinstatement of Tax Amounts for Exporting Companies (Reintegra), applicable to exports until December 31, 2012, with the purpose of reinstating values related to residual costs of federal taxes in production chains. Following this Regime, the producing company that exports to foreign countries (or sells to a trading company) goods industrialized in Brazil may have reimbursed, partially or entirely, the amount related to residual costs of federal taxes incurred during the production chain. Brazilian sugar and ethanol exporters are eligible to receive a tax credit calculated as a percentage of the value of products exported out of Brazil. Tax credit for period 10th to 31st December 2014 is equivalent to 0.3% of exports value. From 1st January 2015 will be 3%.
