Description: 
Decreet 1135-2009 Motores flex fuel concerning use of alcohol fuels in Colombia and measures applicable to motor vehicles that use gasoline for its operation. The current development applicable to the automotive industry worldwide technologies, has to diversified supply of motor vehicles suitable for operation with high percentages of alcohol fuel mixed with gasoline engine, known as Flex-fuel (E85) system. From 1 January 2012 motor vehicles up to 2000 cm3 manufactured, they assembled, imported, distributed and marketed in the country and require to operate petrol, should be put up their engines run with system flex-fuel (E85), that is, that can function normally using basic gasolines or mixtures composed of primary fossil fuel with at least 85% alcohol fuel interchangeably. To fulfill this, each brand must sell motor vehicles in the Colombian market, according to the following schedule and provisioning: From 1 January 2012 60% of its annual supply must stand E85. From 1 January 2014 80% of its annual supply must stand E85. From 1 January 2016 100% of its annual supply must stand E85. From 1 January 2013, vehicles with more than 2000 cm3 of all makes and models engine must withstand E 85.
