These Regulations, made under section 110 of the Energy Act, 2006 shall apply to the owner or occupier of industrial, commercial and institutional facilities using any form of energy. It involves: guidelines for preparation of an energy management policy guidelines for energy audit report (including energy investment plan) quality assurance declaration and guidelines for implementation qualifications and experience for licensing. Energy Regulatory Commission The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) is established under the Energy Act of 2006. With effect from July 2007, the Electricity Regulatory Board became Energy Regulatory Commission.The Renewable Energy Department of the ERC is responsible for:- Assisting the Ministry of Energy to develop and monitor regulations and standards for all forms of renewable energy.
