Sec. 207. Grants for production of advanced biofuels grant program to encourage the production of advanced biofuels: biofuels with the greatest reduction in lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared to the comparable motor vehicle fuel lifecycle emissions by achieving at least an 80% reduction in such lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions The overall legislation is Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 who supported the continued development and use of biofuels, including a significantly expanded Renewable Fuels Standard, requiring 36 bgy renewable fuels by 2022 with annual requirements for advanced biofuels, cellulosic biofuels and biobased diesel.
