Description: 
Aims of the Walloon water policy: (1) to ensure an adequate supply of surface water and groundwater quality to the needs of a sustainable, balanced and equitable water use; (2) to substantially reduce pollution of groundwater and surface water; (3) the protection of territorial and marine waters; (4) to achieve the objectives of relevant international agreements; (5) to ensure the use of water as an economic resource and the distribution of this resource in order to satisfy and reconcile at different uses, activities or work, the requirements of health, public health, safety civil and drinking water to the population, conservation and the free flow of water and protection against flooding, agriculture, fisheries, industry, energy production , transport, tourism and water sports, as well as all other human activities allowed.
