Legal Notice 85 of 2012, as amended by Legal Notice 184 of 2012, on the biofuels and bioliquids market regulations, aims to regulate the operations and activities related to the importation, manufacturing and sale of the biofuels and bioliquids in Malta. These regulations are for the safeguarding of the public interest and public safety and require, amongst others, that the quality of the biofuel that is placed on the market is within the specifications stipulated in Standard EN 14214:2008, that describes the requirements and test methods for FAME.
