Description: 
• Degree applicable to central heating installations for residences, the service sector and the industry (for space heating only) and for hot water/steam production in the service industry; • Allowable fuels: heating and/or vehicle diesel, gaseous fuels and solid biomass fuels according to EN 14961-1. Heavy fuel oil will be gradually phased out for heating applications; • Biomass boilers must conform to efficiency and environmental standards of EN 303.5 / Class 3;
Goal/Aim: 
The Decree has lifted a long-standing ban on the combustion of biomass in central heating applications in the large urban centers of Greece. The Decree also aims to impose specific emissions and efficiency limits on biomass central heating boilers.
