Description: 
The Regional Land Use Plan is a general plan of land use in the region and of the urban structure. Regional land use plan identifies the ares for living, services, industry. It also shows areas for recreation and natural porotection. It is a strategic plan with the time horizon of 10-30 yrs. The Regional Land Use Plan of Central Finland is ratified in 2009 and it is legally valid in Central Finland. It is supplemented by four phased Regional Land Use Plans intended for one or more themes. The implementation of the Regional Land Use Plan and phased Regional Land Use plans are followed by the Regional Council of Central Finland.
Goal/Aim: 
Regional Land Use Plan of Central Finland: Identification of forest technology development sites, recreation areas, nature protection areas. Development of crusial areas for tourism and recreation. Also trasport related issues, the public transport. 1st phased Regional Land Use Plan: Jyväskylä sub-region's waste tretament, identificatiion of a suitable area for waste managment site 2nd phased Regional Land Use Plan: Identification of the rock materials for building, gound water reservoirs 3rd phased Regional Land Use Plan: wind power parks, identification of the ares suitable for wind power park 4th phased Regional Land Use Plan: recreation areas
