Key Information
Full name of Instrument & Measure (English):
Austrian standard C 4005 - Wood chips and shredder wood for energy recovery in installations with a nominal heat output of more than 500 kW - Requirements and test methods - National supplement to ÖNORM EN 14961-1 and EN 15234-1
Full name of Instrument & Measure (native language):
ÖNORM C 4005 - Holzhackgut und Schredderholz für die energetische Verwertung in Anlagen mit einer Nenn-Wärmeleistung über 500 kW - Anforderungen und Prüfbestimmungen - Nationale Ergänzung zu ÖNORM EN 14961-1 und ÖNORM EN 15234-1
Description:
EN 14961 is accompanied by the national standard C 4005 for the more practical application. It focuses on wood chips and shredder wood in firing facilities above 500 kW. It provides an easier qualification of woody fuels, less classification and lists of typical values for the ash content etc. On the basis of ÖNORM EN 14961-1, woody forest offcuts are defined as solid fuel originating from "forest and plantation wood as well as freshly-cut wood" sold under the designation "chipped woody offcuts" and "shredder wood". This ÖNORM shall be applied jointly with ÖNORM EN 14961-1. Ended 2015
