Description: 
Royal Decree 324/2000 establishes regulations for pig farms with the object of guiding and managing growth in the sector and also of providing the sector with a comprehensive and unified regulatory landscape. Its main objectives are: 1) Be a new regulatory framework in the management. 2) Adjust the harmonious growth of the sector. 3) Reduce the dissemination of diseases. 4) Preserve natural resources and protect the environment. Royal Decree 1221/2009 establishes new regulations on health and zootechnical measures applicable to pig farms. Note that these regulations attain the biomass sector by setting the minimum size of slurry storage at farm site.
