Law 16/2002 is intended to prevent, reduce and control air, water and land contamination arising from certain activities by establishing an integrated pollution prevention and control system. These new regulations on industrial emissions describe the common principles governing the granting of Integrated Environmental Authorizations (IEAs) and includes a simplified procedure to implement substantial amendments and revisions of the Integrated Environmental Authorization.
