Description: 
Royal Decree 1027/2007 forms the basic legislative framework laying down the energy efficiency and safety requirements to be met by heating and cooling systems in buildings with a view to meeting people’s comfort and hygiene demands during their design and sizing, construction, maintenance and use, and also to specify the procedures intended to provide evidence that these requirements have been met. Regarding energy efficiency, the mentioned requirements should lead to a reduction of the consumption of conventional energy by the heating and cooling systems and, as a result, of the HG emissions and other atmospheric pollutants, by using energy efficient systems and systems allowing energy recovery and the use of renewable energies.
